Your in region backups should be working fine, yes? Your out of region backups will not work until a new firmware firmware for your chip fixes the issue.

In the mean time you should be able to use CB2_BB_Gecko_OS_1.93.zip extracted to a formated sd-card to load your out of region games. Just place the card into the wii, the game in the wii, then click the sd icon on the disk menu. Gecko OS should load. Give it a try.

I'll try that, thanks. And no, my NTSC backups aren't working either.

Your symptoms do not resemble an issue with a modchip. But they are very very similar to an issue with cIOSCORP. Did you install this chip yourself?

You should extract CB2_BB_signcheck_dol.zip to a formatted sd card. Push the sd icon from the channel menu, then insert the card and load the boot.dol/elf. It will load signcheck, which will analyze your system ios files and create a signcheck.cvs file on the sd-card. Post that cvs file here when your done.

It should open in excel. You could try again, it may be corrupted for some reason.

Be sure to push reset many many many times in the app until it exits.

I'll try running it again. I pushed it two or three times, the last time I just held it down til it exited.

[EDIT] Tried it four times and each time it says it's corrupted!

OK, zip the file and attach it, or upload it to mediafire.com and post the link here. I will see if I can look at it.

Err, it won't compress because WinRar tells me "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable"; and mediafire is stuck at 0% -_-

Am I doing something wrong? When it tell me it's done and written, I return to the wii menu and just take it out. Is there some button or something I should do before ejecting?

[EDIT] Reformatted card and recopied files onto card, and fixed the date on my wii, which was set wrong. Tried once more and this time the file didn't even appear. Tried again, it still didn't appear :/ Will keep trying..

[EDIT2] Again, reformatted card and recopied files onto card, for the third time, ran it fine on wii, this time the csv file appeared but it still says it's corrupted when I try to open it. Should I turn my drivekey off? Have a game in while it's running?

Try to format the card with this tool
If it still fails, try another card, 1-2g scandisk is best.
