    They need a DVD update

So i was reading that Wiikey already has an NSMB update out for their chip and its from a DVD. I think Drivekey needs to step it up and put out an update through DVD, which they claimed to support. I dont want to have to worry about a JTAG update

    HBC 1.0.6
    4.1U
    Trucha Bug Fix
    cIOS38 rev14

I completely agree, no matter who says a jtag update will be doable and not to complex, I bought this damn Drivekey for it's simplicity. Is there any specific reason why there can't be a DVD update, or why the hell they haven't put it out yet? They sure didn't have a problem putting it in their new hardware and getting it out, leaving their older supporters to sit around holding our "nun-chucks". There's not a chance I'm going to buy a new Drivekey, disassemble my Wii, swap chips, and reassemble, that basically breaks one of the main selling points Drivekey made to me in the first place. Easy fw updating, yeah right. Looks like I'll be going through the back catalog of games for a while, least Silent Hill: Shattered Memories ran flawlessly, that game is EXTREMELY good and is going to get buried by all the big titles this holiday

I'd agree but it's down to how the update is on which chip on the board needs to be updated. I'm guessing that it's the base chip that needs to be done, hence the need for the JTAG. If you've plugged in the JTAG cable and left it out the USB port on the back as installation suggests, it's not too bad to update, just a pain on extra cost.

You have plugged in the JTAG cable, right guys? (I haven't as I was a dunce, but doing that if I need to update it when I open it up again)

Wheni installed it i didn't think i would need the JTAG and that a DVD update would do. But i guess if i have to update i'll leave the cable incase it happens again. I'll wait and see first, I know it only takes a few minutes to do but I'm lazy

Agh, I didn't. I didn't even read that in the nonexistent instructions which came with the chip :/ Opening wiis is a giant pain in the ass IMO, so much screws and you have to keep figuring out what goes where when you put it back in.

On a sort of related not, is the protection on NSMB the same as brawl? I believe I read that somewhere, possibly amonst the heaps of crap at Afterdawn. I burned brawl twice and neither will work ):.

I agree guys that drivekey are really dragging their heels over this update.
I have considered buying a different modchip as they seem to put out their updates alot faster and via DVD.
Oh btw Brawl works fine on my wii with drivekey and no softmod.
