Also dont forget if you DL your games, who ever up'ed them might not done ISO file correct . I have 4.3 or 4.2u , drivekey , and every game ripped worked but one so far and got about 50 games in last 2 weeks.

    Try using Messie's v4.2 guide found here:http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...tem-menus.html
sofmod your Wii and install Neo Gamma. Launch your games through there until you figure out what is wrong.

Is the version of the game of the same region? Pal, Pal, not Pal Wii with NTSC or vice versa. The 4.2 update will not allow you to play out of region games anymore.

If you have a new Wii then forget about playing dvd-r. It's blocked by nintendo in the drive (dont know but probably firmware). Just softmod and use usbloader or something. Or swap drive.

Just say you're from Wiihacks when adding me.
I've done LOTS of softmods and consider my self a veteran with softmods.
Damn, I wish I'd known previously. Shame that I have to softmod; I bought a drivekey specifically to avoid having to do so. Thanks anyways!

I have a new wii with 4.2U. Today I replaced the drive board with a D2C and installed a drivekey with sw V1.0.
The machine works just like I never touched it. All original DVD games play fine. I can access the drivekey config menu. No burned games are recognized my the wii.
Since it seems we're all having pretty much the same problems, I'm very close to returning the drivekey and going a different route.

    Thank you

i installed a drivekey in a Wii yesterday and it had system 4.2E. i could play all the pal backups i had for my own wii with drivekey.

maybe the iso's are not complete or it was a scrubbed iso. try to use non scrubbed iso's. use a direct rip and burn it to a disc, i burn my games at 3x. works perfect

I also have a drivekey and have firmware 4.2.
Backup's work fine, as long it's the same region as my Wii (in my case PAL). That's the only thing that works. Changing games in your own region or patching them won't work on 4.2.

Wouldn't throw your other regions games away though, they may be able to fix this bug in a later stadium.
