    playing PAL games

    just curious. if i want to play a PAL game on a NTSC/U machine with drivekey, do i have to open the case again and set the switch to the region the game is in.

    Don't think so, the switch is just for the region your console is, not the games you play. Only thing to note is that the 4.2 Wii update will stop multi-region (unless the latest patch for drivekey will work around this)

    what you mean by latest patch? i have first gen wii, updated 4.2u, and got my drivekey last week. have not tired pal game yet but I can give a try find out

    If your Wii is 4.2 it will not play out of region games. No chip will right now and none of them have announced anything about an update to fix it. The update for the Drivekey is just for the NSMB BCA protection that Nintendo is putting on their new games.
