    Jtag

So personally i want the update when it comes out but dont want to spend 30 on a jtag programmer. So I was thinking if someone would be interested i could buy it then sell it for half to them, or even less if we can get multiple people in on it.

We're hoping it would be around $20 , it might be temporarily better to do that, but what if there is future updates again that require a programmer...

you will need to do that with other games, the BCA for NSMB is hardcoded in the new firmware, but for other games like it you'll need to patch that information in. Just putting the bca info in an iso won't do any good as the chip needs to tell it where to look for that information, since its not possible to make a 'burst cut area' without a very special type of laser.

The dvd updates will be provided if it can be done via dvd, its the preferred way, but for some chips its not possible, where others it is. in the case of these kind theyve likely not able to because they are going to release a dvd update for wiikey 2. As for the jtag programmer being included, I believe you misunderstood, they include the jtag ribbon cable, which connects to a jtag programmer. This is so you can install the ribbon in advance. I still recommend disconnecting the drive before updating a chip for safety though.

No, there are several games that have the new protection. All these isos in future will be burned differently.

This sounds like a great idea, we're going to try to keep the cost as low as possible so hopefully won't be $30, but $20

Which games other than NSMB have the new protection?

Wii fit plus also has the new BCA protection

We have the NSMB yellow sticker drivekey in stock now and it works! I don't think it's fair past customers having to fork out over 10 for a programmer - If it does turn out to be expensive we may be offering a rental scheme where for 5 GBP ($8 USD) you will get the programmer posted to you and a return delivery prepaid envelope to return it back to us to recieve something like a 10 deposit back

Errh, Wii Fit Plus PAL plays perfectly fine on my 4.2e Wii with old DriveKey... So why do you say it is BCA protected!?!

Really, are you using a backup version? had 3 customers now tell me it wasn't working along with NSMB so i just assumed - thanks for clearing that up i'll let them know it may be the brand of DVD-r disks they are using
