    Wifi with DriveKey??

Hello all. I am new to this forum but have recently modded about 10 Wiis with drivekey for some friends. They have asked me why a dvd doesn't play in them and also why it won't connect via wifi/wireless like they did before they were modded. I haven't tried but thought maybe through the drive key settings menu? Or am i way out to lunch?? If so how do you access the menu to inable diable stuff? Thanks in advance guys/gals.

    Cheers

Installing the drivekey shouldnt have affected the wifi in any way. I have done lots of Wii's with drivekey and no problems. To access the menu...The easiest way is to open the disc channel, press the eject button on the Wii 3 times quickly and wait for the wii to show a gamecube game in the wii channel. Click "start" on the channel and it will open the menu.

have they lost the wireless settings from memory, when you removed the battery as part of the case removal, and did you reset time and date etc once you had put them back together?

Well as for the battery being removed..i didn't think it lost any memory or settings within the 15 minutes it is removed to mod? I will definately check theirs but I know mine did not lose anything. I will also get them to check their settings as well. I had asked them if maybe they needed to re set them up to link, but he said they didn't even do that the first time. They automatically just picked up. I will keep searching for options. Thanks all for the help so far.

    Cheers

It will definately lose the time/date. Wifi connections, im not to sure about. I have never had a complaint about not being able to connect right away again. Maybe delete and set up the connection again.

we had this happen once, you just need to reset it up usually, in any event its not to do with the chip in any way.
