Help Please: Some ISOs work and others don't (disc read error)

I installed my Drivekey in my 3.4U version Wii this weekend. I am burning my ISOs with imgburn at 4x on Verbatim DVD-R with my ASUS burner that has worked flawlessly for all of my Xbox360 needs.

I have downloaded 8 games and so far half work and on the rest I get disc read errors right when you insert them in. It just tells me to eject.

I have gotten Muramasa to work along with Excite Truck, Punch Out and Conduit. Mario Super Sluggers and some others have not worked. They all appear to be unscrubbed because their size is 4.38GB. These are all USA NTSC downloads on a US console.

Any ideas on where the problem could be? I am getting very frustrated with this so far and have spent far too much time on it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Similar problem here but seems really disk/writer realated as TDK DVD+R works 4 out of 10, TDK DVD-R works 5 out of 10 and EMTEC DVD-R 8 out of 10. Also I have noticed that DVD'S written on my laptop internal DVD writer (able to write with steady 2x speed) produces mutch worst results than my external (slim) usb DVD, wich is not able to keep writing speed and starts from 3x and finishes usually 8x.

usually always either burner or media.
I recommend Pioneer burners 111 or higher
dvd-r verbatim made in Japan, Singapore or at worst Taiwan.
    Use imgburn @ 4x

yep imgburn best way to go, i don't go lower than 4x as my burner gives me issues with slower speeds.
