    Question Need drivekey/wii purchase advice ?

    I am getting ready to buy a Wii and install a drivekey but I am afraid if I buy a new one I will get the d3-2. My other option is to buy a used one which is guaranteed to not be d3-2. So my questions to you is: Should I buy a new Wii and if so what are my chances of getting a d3-2 ? Or should I just buy a used one ?

    i was under the impression that the drivekey worked with all drives? :s

    Got mine at newegg, last week, 9-30, 2009, received 10-5, its a D3, not D3-2, FW at 4.0u. Serial start at LU7126, maybe I got lucky.

    It did... Until the new D3-2 drive was introduced by big N.

    i hadnt realised that but after a "quick google" cons is spot on the d3-2 appears to be
    "unchipable" at least so far
