Don't know what the problem is.

    Hello,

    I've got a question.

I've bought a Drivekey a few weeks ago. I've installed it and it's working fine.

I bought a new game with version 4.1E (i'm from the Netherlands) and updated the Wii with version 4.1E. After updating the Wii reboot and I get a black screen. My television says 'No Video Input'. If there's a game in the Wii the drive spins but nothing happens. Wii controlers blings a few times when turning them on and then goes black. The Wii can now only turn off by removing the plug. The button don't work.

Can anyone help me? I've seacherd everywhere but I can't figure it out.

    Greets Sven

ps. sorry for my bad english

    Welcome to the forum

When you say that you bought a game, I assume it's an original game and not a backup?

If it is an original game, have you tried playing other original games after installing the DriveKey chip?

No games have 4.1 at the moment Sven. If it's one of the new crop of games then it's probably a 3.4 update you've installed.

I'm assuming that the Wiimote can power on the Wii but not turn it off, am I right?

Do you have a softmodded as well as hardmodded Wii and have you downgraded your system menu from 4.0 down to 3.2?

    thanks for responding,

    @ CoNS
thanks It's a (American) backup. My brother bought it in Europe, but I've downloaded the backup. I've played some original games after installing the Drivekey and it works fine.

    @ Tealc99
I tough that it was 4.1. No the Wiimote does not go on. the lights blings a few times but nothing happens. I've only got a hardmodded, but still version 4.0 I tough.

I Tough that the Wii is bricked. Does a new motherboard solve the problem?

Please do not pull the plug on your wii, if you hold the power button in for 5 seconds or so, the Wii will power down.
    Wii 3.2U / cIOSx rev19 / BootMii-Boot2 / 500gbHDD / Configurable USB Loader / TriiForce_mrc / NeoGamma / MplayerCE

    Get your gamecube backups working
USB Loader CFG /w NSMB patch
    Install IOS 202, 222, 223, 224
Triiforce MRC - play WiiWare from SD or USB

Don't forget to press the Thank you button

Ok, so your brother has the game as original PAL game, and you downloaded the USA-NTSC version of the same game?

Does your brother's original game (PAL) work on your Wii, and the backup (USA-NTSC) doesn't?

Which game is it? You should note that like with other modchips, the DriveKey chip is not 100% compatible with all out-of-region (import) games. Try downloading the PAL version of the same game instead.

Also, assuming your Wii is not softmodded, make sure that your Wii is updated to System Menu 4.1E (update via internet).

My Wii does nothing so I can't try it But thanks. The game called ' My fitness coach: Cardio Workout'.

It seems to be that my Wii is bricked, because I've updated the Wii with a USA-NTSC update(from the disc). Does a new motherboard solves the problem?

By default DriveKey is set to block updates from out-of-region game discs in order to prevent it from bricking. So you cannot have bricked your Wii this way unless you have entered the built-in DriveKey config menu and have changed the Update Blocker setting from "Import" (default) to "Off".

    Is your Wii softmodded?
