Enable autoboot on drivekey chip with banner-bricked wii?

    Hello.

    Status:
    1. My Wii (FW 4.1) is bannerbricked
    2. I have a DriveKey-Chip that has autoboot disabled.
    3. I have NO preloader or bootmii installed
    4. I cannot use the trucha-bug (I dont have a patch IOS60)
    5. My only way of booting discs is via autoboot in the recover menu accessed using a modded gamecube controller.

    Questions:

    1. Can i move the DriveKey-chip to another Wii (that works) and change the autoboot setting, and then move it BACK to the bricked Wii, and use it to autoboot.
    2. Is it correct that the DriveKey-chip is able to boot discs signed using the trucha-bug, even though the Wii itself would usually NOT allow it (as in my case)

I have seen one other guy ask the same questions, but he never returned with the outcome I did PM him though.

    Regards
    TwinA

Whenever I move my drive key from the working wii it would not hold the settings. How did you get it to hold them? I really need to know.

I never got the drivekey to work in the bricked wii, it will not autoboot any discs. I really dont know why (maybe because the settings stored on the chip was lost during the move)?

I will contact the makes of the DriveKey chip about this.

Also, it should be possible to enter the drivekey config menu, by pressing the eject button 3 times - but i cant get that to work while in the GC-menu (the menu accessed via a savemii or a gamecube controller) - is that normal (that it does not work)? I am sitting here thinking that it is related to the missing autoboot setting.

Is there any way to confirm the autoboot settings?
