I just got a brand new Wii last week, hardmodded it with a drivekey because I had an epoxy one.

I read about the ability to dump original Wii games to HDD, on my Wii itself. This sounds like a nice feature. Meaning, i can pop in a Wii original, dump it, later burn it to a DVD, play it with my drivekey. Keep my original disk scratch free.. But...it involves softmodding, right ?

But, just like any other newcomer to modding, i'm a bit scared of doing something stupid and fucking my new Wii up (by bricking it).

Now comes my question: I don't want to mess with cIOS and wads too much; cuz thats why i bought my drivekey in the first place, to keep it simple. But i'm willing to do SOME softmodding, if nessesary, to have the ability to dump Wii originals on my USB HDD (instead of buying an LG drive). If possible, at USB 2.0 speed, so it don't take too long to do 1 game.

so...what steps do i need to take too achieve this, what do i need? I wont be using any other softmods. Just want to have the ability to dump games, at a reasonable speed.

My system version is 4.0e without any softmods installed atm. Hardmodded with drivekey.

Hoping for some tips/guides, if you experts arent too busy, thanx in advance !

I read something about Superdump to create a 1:1 disc. Anyone has experience with this ?

Also, I read the Wii doesnt have support for usb 2.0. So what if i want to have USB 2.0 dump speed, what do i need to install?

I want to keep installing softmods at a minimum, and if i have to, i want to be sure it doesnt interfere with my drivekey. any help ?
