I am very new at this, so I have some questions.

1. If I use WIU1.1 will this prevent me from having any issues with NTSC vs. PAL? (I'm in the U.S btw).

2. Will I be able to play scrubbed .iso's?

3. I didn't update to 4.0 yet, should I?

4. Where is the best place to get full images of games. (pm if we're not allowed to post that stuff here.)

That is all I have now, thanks in advance. Also thank you to all the posters for previous answers in these threads, they have answered a lot of my questions so far.

I too am pretty new with the Wii mod. I just got my drivekey last week and installed it without any problems. Let me take a crack with some of your questions.

1. I have updated my Wii to the latest version 4 prior to the mod and have no issues with my NTSC backups and I believe some PAL backups.

2. From what I understand drivekey mod does not handle scrubbed .isos. Personally I have not test this yet. Since there are lot of full version iso out there so I don't believe there is a reason for a scrubbed version.

3. I have updated mine to 4 since I have heard some newer games won't work with the old firmware. Though I believe if you plan to play homebrew stuff, you should consider not updating. I don't so I just went ahead and do the update.

4. I just google "Wii iso" and you will find a lot of good source.

1. not sure about WIU1.1
2. you can play scrubbed iso's if you have firmware 3.2 or lower on ur wii.
3. if u want to play scrubbed games do not update, unless you want to make all 1:1 backups yourself or find all non scrubbed games(kinda hard)
