Wow, thanks!! It seems my serial number does indeed match the batch of DriveKeys that may have been affected with these problems. Thank goodness, or I'd have no good explanation as to why my drive continuously spins.

I didn't even order my DriveKey from you guys and you're willing to replace it. That's awesome. I have purchased from you guys before, but not for this particular item. I thought the place I bought it from was supposed to have great support but I never heard back from them... or I lost the email. One or the other.

Either way, this is really great, and thanks so much! I'm sure I'm not the only one appreciative of this.

    Question

    hi gentlemen,
this is my first post in this forum; very useful.

I'va just got a response, because, I've the Drivekey (bought from an original reseller, hardstore) having the spinning problem. I'll check the serial number this evening at home directly on the site, but my questions are:
1-will it stop spinning if I choose not to connect while in std-by to connect24?
2-if I eject the disc, will it try to spin anyhow?
3-are there any other known issues other than the spinning?

I've also checked for a support link on the site (drivekey one) but I didn't it. where can I download future fw updates?

It will stop spinning if you turn off connect24 altogether and don't ever have the Wii in standby. If it's in standby and there's a disc in it, it's going to spin.

If you take the disc out, it won't spin, if I remember correctly.

I think the other known issue is that sometimes it will read copies but not originals. You should go check your serial number. You'll have to go without your DriveKey for a little bit, but then you'll get one that's working properly. They're only accepting RMAs until the end of April though so you'll want to hurry.

    Hello,
I am new and just wondering if it's best to get the drivekey or get the wode ?
just watched the video on it....not sure how this will work at home....seems a little much wiring...? any comments.

How much should a drivekey cost in Canada? How safe is it? Has anyone ever fried the wii console? ours is 1 month old.....so.....hhmmmm.

What site should i order the drive key from.

    Thanks

How much should a drivekey cost in Canada?43- 45usd approx

    How safe is it? safe

Has anyone ever fried the wii console? not unless you really are careless

ours is 1 month old.....so.....hhmmmm.>>> will not work with d3-2 which shows up as a . or d3-2(v2) wii dvd drive.. no modchips will work alone ...double check your serial # on http://wiidrives.com

    along with the wii
drivekey 2.0 ....you must also replace the small dvd drive board which is easy

or the other recommended choice is the
    wode

    or the
    sundriver

goto wiidrives.com and enter your serial to see what you have
