    Cannot Access DriveKey Configuration Menu

I've tried the two instructions on how to get to the menu with no avail. Just in case there is some other set, here is the two I followed:
Start the Wii, at the black screen with letters press the eject button 3 times and then press A. I should see a GameCube game has been inserted into the drive and access it. There is no GameCube game inserted. The second set of instructions is the same, but it's done at the disc channel. Same results. If anyone has any pointers this would be great help. I'd like to try and avoid opening my Wii up again. Just so everyone knows, the DriveKey partially works or perhaps it's the game, I'm not sure at this point. It plays some backups, but not all. I'd just like to access the config menu anyways. TIA.

No no, boot the wii and at the home screen press eject 3 times then wait a few seconds and the game cube icon will show on the disc channel, click that to enter the menu, be patient after you press eject 3 time it takes a few seconds(10 seconds or so) to come up

Still nothing. I did what you had said and it still asks for a disc after waiting about a minute after pressing eject 3 times.

How fast did you hit the eject? You have to have the drive empty then tap tap tap. If you know morse code..type an S. It should work.

I've tried both fast and slow. Slow with like 1 second intervals in between. Fast with about 1/4 second. When I press the eject button without a disc it makes a noise like its trying to eject a disc so the slow one is I wait for that noise to be done which is about a second.

I've never heard of that, the person must have been confused.

I think I have the issue. I believe I may have Semi-Bricked it by loading a PAL game without realizing it.

Edit Note: I checked out those semi-brick fix disc links and none of them point to the download. I found one that does work and am going to download when I get home. Here is the link.

Before you try the semi-brick (I've loaded PAL games and the screen turns black, just held power button in till it turned red) start the Wii. Wait for the Wii to come up and show all channels/main menu. Click on the game channel where it shows the GC and the Wii disc. Tap the eject 3 times (1/4 a second apart). You hit the button almost as if your doing a cheat code for GTA. If the Disc's do not start spinning then there is something wrong. My Wii also makes the eject noise..that's normal. (After you get into the menu) Also..I have the X4 diode drive key. The gamecube controller does not work on the menu. You have to use the reset button to toggle through the menu. Tapping it will scroll through the menu, holding it down will change setting's. Always toggle to save when your finished. You will have to hit the power button after you save and it say's reset your System.
