First off, can,t someone delete and ban all the useless post/ers.
Next, recieved drivekey today but i,ve got a few queries.
Noticed a small connection for a small ribbon on the side which i did,nt notice before.
Can,t test it as there is no other ribbon included,i,m waiting for it to be sent.
Also i think ribbon just pushes into key, looks like you don,t have to lift little flap to insert ribbon.
I could be wrong on that but i don,t want to break it trying to force a little flap up that ain,t there,so if anyone else gets a DK soon could you post on this, just so i know when i get my ribbon.

Hi, I installed the drivekey a couple of days ago, works great! Installation was quiet easy, just slide the brown end of the connector a little outwards, so you can connect the ribbon cable. Don't need any force. It is a little different as stated on the website (using a hinge). The additional ribbon is for a jtag programmer. You can attach another ribbon cable, so that you can reach the drivekey on the outside to reprogramm the chip if needed. I let this ribbon exit the wii at the usb bus. Take care to put some insulation tape on the drivekey, so it cannot get damaged (shortcut) by the metal plate of the chassis
Every game I dropped in so far worked great, no lag whatsoever. Also getting in the system menu was no problem. Moving the arrow in the system menu was initially weird, however it turned out you can direct the arrow using the buttons on the wii itself.
    Good luck,
    Ecori

I don't mind buying the drivekey. I love the cool feature with the game booting directly without having to launch it in the disc channel.

the jtag isnt needed, but make sure youre putting the cable in properly. Also make sure youre putting it in the right way, and setting the dip switch jumpers correctly.
when its on hit the eject button 3 times to see if you can get into the drivekey menu

I can get into the menu and I can change and save features. All of my original games work, only 3 of about 20 back ups work, most are giving me the black screen that says eject game and reset your wii...

In my case I have 2 games that do not work (pinball williams collection, and animal crossing), but I ve read on several sites that others also have problems with these titles using wiikey chip. The others (40 or so) work all of them. I have used verbatim dvds which all worked great, yesterday I tried a dvd-r from imation, and also this disc works without a problem. I tried also to burn on a dvd+r (samsung), but this did not work, gave an question mark error that the disc could not be read. I burned the discs according to the instructions on the drivekey website, using imageburn and changing the booktype to dvd-rom (NEC burner, at 4x burnspeed).
    Good luck ....
