Hey guys, i bought a japanese Wii from a friend of mine, and now i bought the D2Sun + Wiiclip... Already came together and ready for clipping..
After a lot of struggle i found out that i have a D2B (probably) and have made the set as follow:
OFF ON ON OFF
If i read the table correctly, that's what it must be set for Japanese Wii if it's D2B. Or is that what i must set for a D2B to unlock japanese region? Im a little lost there..
Im asking this cause i installed and my japanese (original) zelda continued working, but when i tried to put a movie dvd (other region) it didn't play... Is there something wrong with my sets? Wii doesn't play movie dvds? =P
Oh, and one more thig, the D2Sun should allow me to play any region games right? Because if I have to play only games in japanese, then there's no point in having this D2Sun...
as for out of region, it should, but if it doesnt, just use Gecko OS, in Homebrew channel, to boot them, just remember updating the firmware out of region = brick

Thx, but im really new to these stuff... What's Homebrew? It's lilke an application to run on Wii? I make a DVD of it and use it? Really lost here... =P

But i still have some doubts about it... I'm making a DVD self install of Homebrew...
This Homebrew channel, only by having it installed I can watch dvds or i need to install the Video Playback on step six (as i understood that's just for playing video files).
And with homebrew installed, i still need the Gecko OS to run other region games?
Btw, i entered the Gecko OS page and there are a loooot of files there, which one i need, if i need them at all?
gecko OS ISNT needed, but if the game doesnt run
you want cheat codes
or it doesnt support out of region
you can play it with that, or get a better grasp of why it doesnt work
to install anything
get a SD card
make a folder in the root "apps"
put the downloaded folder in there
look for the .Dol file and call it "boot"
then you can run it
if you get .elf use the .elf to dol convertor
