thanks exupboy. I'll go ahead and open it up (for about the 6th time now) and check out the clip's pins. I hope your right. The green light comes on with no problem so i assumed that the clip was on there properly without any bent pins. But i'll double check.....

I checked the Wii clip and i don't see any bent pins on it. Like i've said, the green light works. I think i have a faulty chip and/or Wii clip. I can't get a response from Canadamods or from "Spyman" here at the forum. I think i've been taken for $90. I guess i've learned my lesson.

Have you soldered the F point? As far as I know the Wasabi v3 with Wii Clip is not a completely solderless solution, you have not solder the F point (not 100% certain but pretty sure).

Also why don't you try and get the backup discs working before you keep putting the Wii back together?

I didn't know i needed to solder to the f point. Thats why i bought the clip is because it was 100% solderless. Is this true Spyman?? (i apologize for my frustration on this matter) When i got this, the Wasabi V3 is already installed on the Wii-clip. There is a jumper wire that Canadamods already pre-soldered from "Q to F". I seen somewhere where someone had to take the jumper from "Q to F" to "F to F" but i'm not sure if that was a Wasabi or not (i can't remember). Could that cause this?

I did try the backups while i had the Wii apart. I was just paranoid that the clip wasn't on properly so kept taking it apart.

ADD ON: I also checked the pins on the Wii-clip and none of them seem to be bent.

if you can get those pics, and also try a backup on a pioneer burner not sony or hp.

Also point F to Q on the clip will make it solderless using a V5B clip, on a V5 clip you need to do F to F. However if you have a bit of soldering capabilities its worth a shot to try F to F incase your particular wii is being picky about it.

For what iso to burn I recommend grabbing the 1.4 config disc from the wasabi website www.wasabi.net.cn

So does Canadamods use the V5B clip or V5 clip when they ship out the solderless Wasabi? The website doesn't indicate which one it is. Mine is soldered as if its a V5B ("F" to "Q"). I don't have the clip with me so i can tell. Does it have the part number right on the clip indicating which on it is?

I don't have access to a pioneer burner unless i buy one (this could get expensive). Anyhow, i'll try to get pictures to you Spyman via your email.

We use the V5B, we never carried the V5 as when we started to carry the wasabi, we figured we'd be the first to make it solderless as well it was the same concept we did when we requested V4C be made to use the alt pin, except since v5b already exists by easily j oining F to Q, d2sun did not bother to make a V5C, unless we were ready to order an extremely large qty, which we were not as its not as popular as the d2pro9s.
