Check under the clip to see if any of the little pins are bent and deformed in any way.

Is better you solder the chip using wire method to the DVD drive, make sure you use 26 to 30 guage wire for the power and ground.

ok but i saw some people talk about unsolder the clk and solder the j wire is that an option?

I think that is for some of the D2C drives. but if you unsolder the CLK point, try it again and see if it works.

time to solder on the chip to the drive. Remember, use 26 to 30 guage wire for the GND and power. And make sure the power wire and GND wire are short and neat to allow the chip to obtain best quality performance.

If you are soldering it in, use the 5 wire diagram from [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register]. Use 30AWG wire. You don't need to use thicker wire for power and ground. Some people will say you do, but this is a myth.

You need to use thicker wires cause actel chipsets require a certain amount of voltage to get the micro processor inside the chip to inject the firmware cleaner without hiccups.
