D2Pro Solid Red Light! Dead Drive

I purchased a D2pro + wiiclip from Gmodz today (Sept 02/ 08)
I followed the installation guide exactly.
Now when I go to turn on my wii the light on the chip turns red and stays red, the blue light does not come on at all.
If i try putting a disk into the drive it does not go in, and if there is 1 in, it will not come out.

I'm having the hardest time, and its very frustrating because I drove to get this chip (45 mins)

My Wii serial Number is Lu33027526[0]. I got a brand new D2Pro9 rev 3 + WiiClip V4C-3 presoldered. It has a D2E and a checkmark on a sticker on it (Not sure what any of this meens)

If i remove the D2pro chip and boot the Wii, the drive runs fine, and disks go in and out without a problem.

SO basically all in all, When I install the D2pro9 I get a RED LIGHT (no blue) and my dvddrive goes dead.

Can I get some solutions, or even an explaination of the problem.

Thanks everyone

The problem was fixed already so I think the thread can be deleted.

would be a different solution for wasabi 2 vs d2pro9. If you do have soldering capabilities though send me a PM and I can step you through it.

I also have the exact same problem with a D2pro.

If there is no disc in the drive.. the drive constantly inches.

If there is a disc in the drive it is dead and wont eject at all. If I cut the power to the modchip the drive operates normally without issue.

I have trying touching up the oscillator points and have check that the chip is correctly connected. (I soldered to the vias but DMM'ed all the drive legs and have continuity to the correct stops on the chip)

ouch.....what you need to do is either you take your time and remove the solder bridges (which is very time consuming but fun for me) or send it to a professional to do that for you.

Forget trying to touch up the oscillator or what not. that isn't the problem. The problem and the solution is in it's firmware. The chip has to be updated to the latest 2.3/1.6 firmwares to work properly.

true but remember they need their wii drive to play the discs, and purchasing one are a lil hot right now at least.
