from the sounds of it is the image/burn.
just make sure you use the layerbreak value on the new image you get.

I couldn't play my backup on my Wii ( modded with D2pro9 V2 + Wii-clip). I'm getting error : An error has occurred please press the eject button and remove the disk. turn the wii console off and refer to the manual. Anyone can play SSBB DVD-9 on Wii with D2pro9 chip?

But there is a solution which worked for me with D2pro9 clip,i launched the backup with GeckoOS....

Quote:
use imgburn for best results.
burn at lowest supported speed that you dvd media supports.... show up in the right window showing disc info (4x or slower)
set write mode from DAO to incremental
set layerbreak to user specified
enter 2084960
uncheck verify if you want it quicker
although other brands may work... Verbatim dvd dl+r are the most trouble free....then memorex dl+r...then the others

I HAD the same problem, even after following these instructions which i have also read some other place
use a different burner, whether its beg borrow or buy because my backups worked only after reading advice on using different hardware to do it with
hope that helps

Hmm I downloaded a DVD5 version of SSBB, it works perfectly on my wii(D2C) modded with D2CKey no problem loading or playing. But it doesn't work on my little cousin wii (D2C) modded with D2Pro9v2. He's getting the DRE any suggestion? o.o lol May be I should install the updates for his wii. How do you check the FW version of a D2pro9v2? I'm not sure if it updated to be able to update via DVD yet -_-

you should also try different media sometimes that will do the trick.
you can update via dvd [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register] get the 1.6 and update the spi. 1.4 spi addressed those that had ssbb issues on dual layer.

you see the thing is I don't have the jtag programer so lol. I have no clue if my cousin D2pro9v2 is dvd updatable but I bought it from mod-chip.ca recently do you think they updated it? or does D2pro9v2 comes with at least 1.1 +? I've been away from modding wii for awhile cuz of school and xbox 360 lol.

There two types of updates that can be carried out on the D2Pro9
1) Hardware update (currently v2.3) that requires D2Prog
2) SPI Flash update (currently 1.6) this can be done via DVD. This will also tell you the hardware version of the D2Pro9.
So you want to try option 2 first.
