D2PRO9 vs. Wasabi (Legs Cut Wii)
Right now im leaning towards the D2PRO9, looks like the creators are more concerned with the future of the chip to keep it running compared to the Wasabi. Anyone got anything to add before I get the D2PRO 9 wire.

I thought you were going for the WiiKey originally? What made you change form that to these two??

d2pro9 is cheaper and has more support than wasabi

Well GMODZ informed that if i used WiiKey I would have to resolder the cut legs on my wii which would be a PITA. Rather just go with the easier solution.

I see, funnily enough I also have a D2B which i want to mod but for mine have been told that the legs are still okay. Any way good for you Drybones.

then it physically doesn't matter
so your d2b has the legs uncut....

they are all just as easy to install...

then d2pro9 ( BEST of all ...easy dvd upgradablility and Jtag reprogramming if needed)

or Wasabi...Great chip..what others try to copy..(easy dvd upgradablility if needed)

or Wiikey... long being the best chip till now for the older wii's( support now iffy since they have the d2pro9 which works on both new and old wii's)

Yeah thank you very much ModderMan, to be honest I'm not going to be soldering the thing myself since i have no experience at all and dont even own a solder (with or without a tiny tip!).

Someone mentioned the versatility of the wiikey i.e. home-brew & emulation, and also its supposed to have dvd upgradable fw like the rest. So these things I see as a plus, i need to find out what else the d2pro9 can do since all the top 3 modchips are on par to each other in playing backups and imports.

Thus im going to be flexible on price between the wiikey/d2pro9/wasabi, so in the end its about functionality and stability....

Also what is Jtag reprogramming?

Wiikey is discontinued and replaced by the more versatile D2pro9

Wiikey is no longer supported by the d2pro team 9 which means good luck will probably be needed to play certain Future Games by the big "N"

recommended id the d2pro9 or wasabi.. both great chips and they are available with the wii-clips , I believe....
