D2pro cannot read disk! what to do???

Been reading on the forums but a lot of posts are a few years old. so 2012, I have the latest firmware installed, i guess this is a mistake from reading. My wii can't read many back up disks it once did before upgrading firmware. some work, many start to load but as it loads the game, i get the error cannot read disk.....

What are my options or solution? Do i downgrade my firmware to 4.1 ??? Do i ditch the D2pro? By downgrading firmware, will i still be able to play the new games that ask for firmware update ?

Store bought games work great btw!

    thanks for any help

Are the games you have tried from the same region as your Wii? Updates past System menu 4.1 kills the region free ability, you need to softmod for it to get it back

Have you also checked if your D2pro has its latest firmware?

Yes D2pro has version 1.8. The latest version.... I just downgraded firmware to version 4.1u but still the same problem...some games load and start, i pick options to play the game select players..., but when it actually loads to start playing then it crashes with the error cannot read disk!!! Yes same region. i have many games that do this, some work, some just don't load at all....

but all store bought games work !!!!

    Thanks

contact D2pro and ask them how to use their product for pirated materials.. I doubt you will get to much help though considering they post this disclaimer...:
