mario kart, smash brothers problem

Hi

I have a NTSC-US d2c Wii with firmware 3.3u. I also have a D2pro9 modchip installed with a recently updated 1.7 spi. Whenever I try to play some NTSC-US games, it tries to perform a Wii system update, the games include (final fantasy chocobo's dungeon, super smash brothers,mario kart ).

When i used the 1.7 utility disc to turn on the wii system update blocker for all regions, i was able to play final fantasy. But trying to play smash brothers or mario kart appears to crash my Wii, where I can see the title screen of the game, but then the game crashes with a black screen, and my wii-remote flashing its LEDs.

Can anyone confirm that it is safe to perform this Wii system update, or to update the firmware from Nintendo to 3.4U?

they require a update, and you must do it from those games, its safe if its in region

am currently backing up my copy of SMBB i have not played it at all yet i have 3.2U downgraded it today if i upgrade cause of the game i will not be able to play backups or homebrew ?!?!

it has firmware 3.1 -,_-, god, people if there would be silly stupid problems resulting from my advice i would mention it

yea am a noob at this i normally just stick to the 360.....so if their is a new game and i pu it in an it tells me to updated it is okkay to update an nothing will happen right i patched evverything i even patched the wii shop so i could use the shop an i put the no updated patch for the games so i dont have to worry about it or what ?

where did u get that from o.O;; do people even read my posts.....

it has firmware 3.1, it will only add the required update

you update anything past 3.2 you will need to downgrade and patch and all that again, you got to block some games require updates thats just how it is

i undertsand tht part but am saying if i buy a brandnew wii games an it tells me to updated to 3.4U if i do it i will lose all the homebrew correct ?

youll lose pieces, some programs wont work, and such

but will the iso loader work

i believe it will, but dont hold it to me, but wad manager wont, and starfall wont

so no brick prevention
and no IOS/Cios updates
no fake signed games
or anything along those lines
