    d2pro9, d2c chipset, 2.2 firmware... won't accept disks sometimes

OK, a few months back I modded my wii with a d2pro9 just before the 2.3 firmware was released. There is only one problem with this mod, and it's starting to drive me batty. Sometimes the wii will not accept disks.... no inching, no nothing. The only way I can get it to take the disk is to turn the wii off, force the disk in halfway, turn the wii back on. then it will take the disk and work normally.

Is there anything I can do to try and fix this short of upgrading to 2.3? I cannot find anyone with d2prog in stock, so I was hoping to try some tricks first.

never heard of this one, but i would assume a reflash/bad solder if to blame

when i had the inching problem, i noticed that once a disc was in and spun up, it would eject ok and the next disc would go in ok also. So the workaround i used was once the drive accepted the game, only switch off the wii with a disc in the drive

Could also be whomever reassembled the Wii console strapped down the DVD drive too tightly. If they over torqued the thing down to the bottom case, I can see this happening.

I have to be honest I have no clue for sure what version of the d2pro9 this is, but I do know that I bought it from modchipcentral about a week and a half before the 2.3 firmware was released... my receipt says I ordered a V3 chip. It's soldered in and other than this disk accept issue, it works great.

playing around with it a bit yesterday, I would eject a disk, turn the console off, just barely insert the disk, turn the console on, and it would suck in the disk.

modderman, could you explain this for me?
I do have a wire attached to the point J in this pic.

    http://d2pro.com/downloads/installD2pro5-6-9V1.5.pdf

I thought this was a standard connection on a 9 wire mod. Is there something special I need to do to the chip?

    Thanks!
