    d2pro2v9 PROBLEM

Someone please HELP!!!! I just received my chip today presoldered. I seated the chip with a wii clip and when i plugged in everything, there is a red light on the power button. As soon as i push the power button the whole thing shuts down.

I tried removing the chip and same result. There is a red light on the power button when i plug it in, but as soon as i press the power or the eject button, it shuts down again.

I followed the direction exactly and did not do anything other than open up the wii and attaching the chip. Any input would be appreciated.

check the pins on the wii itself, sometimes installing things incorrectly can damage the pins. check that nothing is shorting anywhere, as that is what is sounds like.
to check if its something with the drive, disconnect the drive and power the wii on.

Thanks for the solution. After a night of drinking away my sorrow for messing up my Wii, I went back to look at the connectors and one of the PIN was bent all the way down. I had to use a tweezer to straigthen it out and now the Wii works like a charm... Thanks Fellas!!

However, what do i have to do next now that the chip is on the machine. Is there any indicator letting me know that it is working? I tried my ori game and it works fine but when i put in a backup disc it goes to a black disc error screen. Am i missing a step?

grab the utility disc, d2pro : Home
and use ntsc-usa games if you are in the US, its likely black screen if youre putting in a pal game.
