Well, I am getting the same problem. I just received it yesterday from canadamods and it has the blue sticker. It was ordered on 11/28 so I assume the firmware is all up to date. I took it out & reseated it a few times. I also checked for bent pins. I emailed canadamods this morning and am awaiting for a reply. These are basically plug and play right? Am I missing something? The blue sticker on the back says d2e certified and my Wii chip says D2C so it should work...

    Ideas?

    Same here.

Ordered mine 12/3 from Canadamods and received it today. Nothing but red. I took it off and reassembled system. Works fine but no mod chip installed.

I emailed CM too. I am dissappointed. I dont want to take it apart again.

Well, they replied on Saturday afternoon and asked for some close-ups of the Wii-Clip. I sent them and Al replied back saying there are a couple spots that are preventing it from being seated right. He said he'd get back to me (as he was using the wrong computer). Needless to say, it's Monday and my 2 follow-up emails have went unanswered so far. So my guess is they have had a bad batch of clips and are busy or they are just slow with answering emails.

clips are all working fine, no bad batch, we do test them 100% before shipping out so I can assure you that much. Our email volumes are very high , and emails on weekends should not really be expected to be answered as priority as our operating days are Mon-Fri, but we are trying to keep up with the volumes, so please be patient with the replies, you will get replies and help with the problems on an individual case by case basis.

Is it standard to get the yellow wire? I had a yellow wire in my package. Nothing seems to be out of order. It went on smoothly. I reseated it several times hoping it would work. Nothing but solid red.

I did have a disc in when i tried to install. I didnt think it would matter. I think i ejected and tried again with the same result.

I got an email from CM this evening. It said that the yellow wire is not needed. It also said to try again. (Gently i suppose.)

I tried again maybe 10 times. I wanted to make sure not to push too hard. All i could get was solid red or maybe nothing.

I then decided to take a look at things from the back side of the wii also. The gap on the front between the clip and the board was narrower than the one on the back. I applied a little pressure to the back part and it seems that it seated nicely.

I powered up and got Red then blue- 3 times. The video shows once. I emailed CM and got a reply back super quick. They said that different chipsets may have different blink amounts or something like that.

I put together and hooked it back up. I do not have a back-up to try but my regular wii games work fine. Now i just need to find out how to maintain this brand of chip.

    Thanks CanadaMods :-)

    Hi Stephen,
I think I got forwarded that email to reply to
The yellow strand wire comes with the wiiclips (they range in colours) they are not needed if clk is soldered (we solder clk), so if a wire comes with one it can be disregarded.

As for the lights, older d2pros used to blink once, but the newer ones blink several times depending on the chipset, it has something to do with setting the instructions I believe.
ie check region, check chipset, initialize (in other words its normal to have several blinks instead of 1 with the new firmwares )

for maintaining the chip, d2pro : Home , grab the utility config disc, and load it up

Well, mine is still a solid red light and the 1cm inching noise. I've reseated the clip several times; using a little more pressure sometimes, using less pressure, making sure it was flush, etc. I can't figure it out at all. I've done other chips on other systems before and have never had these kinds of issues. It's a D2C and I have the D2PRO9 V3 with the V4C-9 Wii-Clip. I haven't had much luck getting ahold of CM. That being said, I do understand it's certainly the busier time of the year with Christmas around the corner. I've been having this issue since it arrived on 12/12.

So, do any of you have any ideas? I'm literally at a loss...

    Thanks

Mine didn't come with a J-wire. What can I use instead? Any specific gauge?
