actually, i think you need to use the cios downgrader from waninkoko's website to bring your wii from a 3.3 to a 3.2, cause i think its the 3.3 upgrade thats causing some of your games not to work. I had a similar problem with SSBB and wii music. after you downgrade, then you can use wii brickblocker to disable the update and it should work fine. You can use wad manager to run the downgrader off an sd card.

    Thanks for the explanation.
I was indeed reading about the downgrade thing, but wasn't sure if it would fix my problems and create new ones. Do you think it will allow me to avoid having to install that homebrew channel with IOS38 ?
I am a newbie. The only thing I am looking for is to make these backups work. Nothing else. Looking for the easiest way (less risky).

well, you have to install the homebrew channel to run wad manager and the downgrader. you can use the twilight princess hack to intall HBC. if you dont know how to run the hack...its just a savegame file you download off the net, you replace your original zelda savegameswith appropriate region of the hack for your system. then you you use that to install HBC. there are more extensive explanations available all over for using the twilight princess hack and install HBC. but i really do think that the downgrader will fix the problem that you're having.

I read several things about it, but why does it have to be absolutely zelda ?
Are there any other games that do the same ?
Also, if I use an SD card to do that, can I use the same SD card to save my games in the future, or does it have to be 2 different ones. I've had one for a while and it has all my saved games on there, can I use that same one ?

    Thanks.

yea..you can only use zelda, its the only game that known so far that can be utilized to do this, and it doesnt even have to be an original copy (if your wii is chipped). and you can use that sd card for anything after you get done. but you have to take everything off it when you are using it install HBC. go to wiibrew.org, they have great tutorials on how use and install twilight princess hack and homebrew channel.

Is there a way to transfer the current saved games to the sd card ?

Could someone let me know what to do ?

I already have an SD card in the wii, and it has all my saved games so far.
Can I add the files for the homebrew channel on that same card, or do I need to start with a fresh new SD card ?

    Thanks.
