@jbloggs: Nope when I put pressure on the black area of the clip itself it does not seem to make contact.

I'm thinking about sending it back and asking for a one soldered for a DMS system.

What do you mean it does not make contact when you put pressure on the clip? As in it does not activate the blue light or it does not seem to be firmly seated on the chip? From the pictures, it seems that it works if you put pressure on the modchip side of the clip? If so, try taping that side down...

as jbloggs suggested, when you're adding pressure to that side it seems to make the connection. Its likely the clip has bent pins, or the plastic part on the inside got mashed. check it with a magnifying glass carefully and straighten it up with a stanley knife or blade. Also inspect the chipset area itself that no pins on it were bent.

Also try putting a little pressure on each side of the black area of the clip one at a time instead of all four sides together, to see if it makes connection due to connection on a specific side of the clip.

hey roger, you should check first if the wiiclip you got from your vendor is genuine. Also from when I tried to help you earlier you discovered some bent pins, so you'll need those straightened up to stand a chance at it working.

ok so you have a couple options, your clip likely is broken, so you can either put it in that weird angle that works and secure it somehow, or you can take it out of the clip and solder the 5 points. they are very easy to solder points. you could also get a new clip and solder the chip to the new clip. Make sure none of the pins on the wii are bent though. Perhaps you can talk to the vendor for replacing the clip with a new one for you.

Wii-clip and D2pro9 should be soldered to 5 points: G, H, J, Ground, and 3.3V; and CLK should be open.
    Is that correct?
    Thank you
