Fitted my D2Pro 9wire with Wii clip a few weeks back and am very happy, Just noticed tonight though that my will not go onto standby. If it's on I press power button once and the red light comes up not the orange?? Is there anything I can do to fix this or would it be down to the chip? my partner wants me to take it out to see if it is but I really don't want the hassel. Is there something I can do to udate the chips firmware or anything?:)
Try to reseat the clip and see if it still have the problem cause that will not be the firmware in the chip that is giving that problem unless you updated it before.Quote:

did you go into ur wii settings menu and go to wii connect and make sure the standby setting isnt turned off..we usually turn that setting off as some people have gotten overheating issues with the standby connection on....in standby ur wii is still powered on and generates heat
Yeah, I would not turn Standby on at all, it will damage your Wii over time.
Thats cool I can understand why not to leave it on standby but my wife thinks i have broken it, so if I could show her it can go on standby and then switch it off that would be great. I went into wii connect this morning and couldn't find any standby settings?? My Wii is not connected to the net as for some reason my wireless router only works with a network cable in. Would I only be able to see standby setting if I am connected to the net? If anyone can tell me where to find the settings that would be great.
go to wii connect and then there should be a stand by setting

I had the same problem, I figured it out.
Wiiconnect24 was off, I turned it back on from settings and alls fine now.:D
Yes indeed is now fixed, Managed to get my wireless router working, connect to wii set up wiiconnect and then I had the option of the standby settings. All sorted now. My misses updated to 3.3E though, Hopefuly nothing bad will come of this and my games will still play.
