    Odd Problem???

I have put in the D2Pro9 v2, in a few units now. And I run into 1 unit, that the dvd drive seems to have quit on me. With or without the chip in, you can put in a game and it starts to spin up then slows right back down again. I pull up the drive, and see the light come on the chip pretty quick, then right back off again. Has anyone else run into this issue? Thanks

And I just noticed, the red light goes on then off. And the blue does the same. Arent they suppose to be on?

Are you using the wiiclip? Or you soldered the chip to the drive using wires?
Thanks everyone for the great support.

if its doing this without the chip in then uninstall it completely and clean the board up as best as possible, until it is working with originals again. Then reattempt the mod.

Spyman buddy i've already talked to him, the drive looks like it had a manufacturer defect cause even though it didn't have the chip installed the driveboard died on him. (I don't know how) so he needs a new drive board

If the drive and chip were working for awhile then it quit and even with the chip off, the drive just makes a clicking noise and doesn't read anything, the chip may have shorted something on the board.
