No I am *cough* smart with mine and don't let it run full on for more then 2-3 hours at a time. I have had it on without playing it for about 2 days on accident, I left home without turning it off, and it was just fine. So just cut down on your constant playing time, after like 2 hours get on here and have some fun.

perhaps try to reflash it ... that is pretty odd though. If more cases turn up I will get d2pro team to look at it.

when i turn my wii on, it goes to the home menu thing like normal wii would.
and i can put in a disk or eject it as many times as i want..no problem there.
but when i play a game, let's say metroid 3, for like 4 hours, then i want to play another game, so i exit the game by pressing the home menu button then saying yes to 'do you want to exit?'.
the problem starts here.... so now i'm in the home menu thingy.. and i can eject the disk no problem.. so i eject the metroid 3, then when i try to put in another disk, wii won't accept it... i can try to push it in, but i don't wanna break it.
then i have to turn it off then turn it back on (resetting won't fix it).. then everything is back to normal and i can eject and put in a disk no problem.
and this happens only once or twice per day.. doesn't always do that.
so what could be the problem here?
couple questions.....how old is the wii and what kind of chipset is the drive?
That sounds like the drive is picking up an error when it is processing the signals for the wii to reset itself for it to accept another game. Hmmmmmm not very strange but I have to write that down in my wii book of problems. Probably the drive or drive board needs repairing or replacing, The chip may have a problem too (don't matter if the chip is new) all electronic equipment fails eventually. Send it to a professional technician in your area buddy

my wii is only 1~2 weeks old.
    it's d2e.
i'm not gonna try to fix it because it's no biggie.
all i have to do is just turn it off and back on.. it takes like 2 seconds..
    and it doesn't happen always..
it's just annoying so i'd like to correct the problem if it's possible.. that's all.

yep....drive and chip confusing the motherboard, Very new problem taking place with the D2E systems, Have one on my desk right now emulating the problem and it is doing the same thing just like yours, something nintendo missed out on the board for the drive to reset itself completely for it to accept another media. Hmmmmmm its quite annoying but repairable

ok that's cool i guess... so maybe they will try to fix that with next firmware or something if enough people are having the same issue.
i just don't understand why this only seems to happen when i play for a long time.. like over 1 hour minimum.
i just tested it again.. first just playing 2 minutes, then 5 minutes, then 10 minutes, and so on...
i'm having no problems up until 40 minutes mark... i will keep going for a while.

actually it is not the firmware alone, it is the main controller IC in the system that controls all of the hardware, have a mild issue, it is not getting the right signal to reset the drive for the system to accept another media. Which have me scratching my head right now (now i'm feeling like a detective looking for clues)
Thanks everyone for the great support.
