This don't sound good. I was going to order a D2Pro9 with WiiClip too, but now I may have to rethink that idea!

no don't wipe it with a paper towel, you can either get a little nasty burn or build up static electricity on the PCB which can transfer straight to the chip or drive board. Just take your soldering iron and briefly 'flick' away the solder on the clk bridge jumper, that's basically it.
Thanks everyone for the great support.
Hope to hear from you soon, cause i'm getting ready to retire from the modding scene.

okay well i finally got it... i had to desolder the clk point and solder the j points... so much for "solderless" huh? anyways i had to ghetto rig the hell out of this thing... used electrical take to hold the chip in place, then placed electrical tape on the metal on the inside of the wii so it wouldnt short... thanks gmodz for the help you gave and thank you everyone else who helped, dark mod, nitro and the mod. you guys helped a lot, however this chip really should be advertised as solderless...

It's a catch 20. The chip itself is never advertised solderless but the wii-clip team says that it is if used with their product with 1 wire soldered. I personally think they should advertise it "soldering aid clip" since not all of their solutions are solderless. But I guess that would cut down on their sales. LOL. Glad it worked out for you.
