Well the firmware on the chips from the factory are buggy and the seller should have flashed it to the latest 2.3/1.6 so there are no issues.

well I think you need the D2programmer to flash over the chip...or route over the clk point over the oscillator (big IC) and see if it still gives problems.
Thanks everyone for the great support.
Hope to hear from you soon, cause i'm getting ready to retire from the modding scene.

I did route 'C' over the oscillator and there was no change.

I also tried Little Johnnys 1.6v fix and that didn't do anything either.

    Still same symptoms.

Did you use thicker wires for the gnd and the two voltages? If you do, then the drive is rejecting the chip.
Thanks everyone for the great support.

Yes used thicker wire for 3V, Ground and 1.6V (didnt always have this connected)

I am trying to RMA the chip but I have been trying to fix it myself for 2 months so I dont think the seller is willing to take it back.

Well it looks like the drive is possibly rejecting the chip, and it looks like it damaged the chip too.
Thanks everyone for the great support.

Now when I go to turn on my wii the light on the chip turns red and stays red, the blue light does not come on at all.
If i try putting a disk into the drive it does not go in, and if there is 1 in, it will not come out.

I'm having the hardest time, and its very frustrating because I drove to get this chip (45 mins)

My Wii serial Number is Lu33027526[0]. I got a brand new D2Pro9 rev 3 + WiiClip V4C-3 presoldered. It has a D2E and a checkmark on a sticker on it (Not sure what any of this meens)

If i remove the D2pro chip and boot the Wii, the drive runs fine, and disks go in and out without a problem.

SO basically all in all, When I install the D2pro9 I get a RED LIGHT (no blue) and my dvddrive goes dead.

Can I get some solutions, or even an explaination of the problem.

    Thanks everyone
did you ever fix it, it has taken me forever to find someone who has the same problem as me. If so can you tell me what you did
