    D2pro chip, inching problems

i just got a D2PRO clip+chip from gmodz.ca and when i got it the #1 problem was it was to big, (could always use tape...) #2 when i insert a disc, it inches...

i heared that there was a update to fix the probelm, and that it could be done by a disc.

is it safe to let the disc inch into the dvd drive, will it work?

if not, i am sending it back to gmodz and they will install it for me...

(i already installed the j wires, still no magic )
is there anything else to do to fix the problem, after installing j to j wire?

    edit: just got an idea!
can i take the chip out, insert the update disc, put the chip in, and update chip???

the update needs to be done via programmer...unfortanately the update came out after ur order was shipped. you can send the chip back and we will reflash and send it back for free or to save u trouble just ship the dvd drive alone and we will do the whole install for free and ship back

Yes thats what i plan on doing, but two quick questions...

1.when i send my drive to you, can you test it to make sure it works after you install?

    2. if the chip we have, doesn't fit like it should (i think the chip you sent me is too big, wont clip on all the way... and so i am able to peel it of with my thingers) could you try to install with another chip?

anyway, if you could test to see if it works, that would make things MUCH more easy for me so that i KNOW that when a disc wont work, its the disc that is the problem NOT the chip.

    thank you for your help.

Inching issue is one where when the Disc is being inserted into the wii, instead of the disc smoothly retracted into the wii, it goes slowly in a little bit at a time with a slight pause. I would normally link you to a youtube video but it seems no has made one , but I hope you get the gist of it.
