Exclamation My D2PRO is D2E compatible?

I bought recently a D2PRO from an italian seller who wrote on website that this D2PRO is D2E version.

Today i received my new D2PRO and i found on pcb a green stick from d2pro staff telling "d2c-2 compatible". No more sticks.

The barcode on the side shows: 21u3-P2GedPuE...***

21u3 seems to be hardware 2.1 - version 3, so D2E compatible as told by seller, don't it?

I want to be sure before installing.

    Thank you

well I just bought one also recently but the sticker on it said d2e compatible, why don't you just call them or email them and ask them what's up, I don't think no one here can tell you exactly what't on that chip, is it a clip on, because if it is, just slap it on and try it, won't hurt nothing, hope this helps, and your not really installing anything (software I mean) so you won't hurt nothing by trying

Hi and thanks for your time. I will not use wii-clip so i have to solder d2pro directly. I ordered Wii console (european PAL) two days ago on internet and is going to arrive in few days (so don't know if d2c, d2c2 or d2e). I bought d2pro (d2e version) to be sure in compatibility with all three wii's chips.

Tomorrow i will call and ask. Is not possible to know if d2e compatible from serial number?

    Thank you

d2e chips are labeled with the sticker. you have a d2c2 d2pro9. unfortunately you can not reprogram the firmware to d2e because the d2pro team has not made that option available.

dude contact the seller, nitro is right, if the sticker is not on there, there is a great possibility that its not d2e compliant, the serial helps somewhat to determine your chip there is a database you can access but its not 100% accurate on telling you your version, best way is to crack it open takes like 10 minutes its easy, then look inside and you will tell....get your Wii, sit down and take your time with it, read all the info here on the forums, and your wii will be modded before you know it, if your Wii is like spanking brand new, chances are its a d2e like mine was (bought it last week) but if you bought it from a site that was holding on to it, if might be a lower chip, hope for the lower chip if your d2pro9 isnt d2e complliant, good luck

Seller admitted its error sending me an old version of D2PRO. I opened a RMA with the seller and I'm going to send back the chip soon

Is all good what ends good
