    Angry Help with D2Pro9 Solderless.

I just got my D2Pro9 (newest version) mod chip from techsick. It was pre soldered to the wii clip. I have version 3.3U on my wii. When i put on the chip it just lights up red and the blue light doesn't come on. When i take the chip off the DVD drive spins. and reads my legal disks. But when I have the chip on the drive just doesn't spin!! Why won't it work. Also, I have a G2C- D2C, chip set. Please does anyone have a solution?

you may need to solder the J wire to get it going.

Many including myself are having the same issue. It appears that the D2Pro9 V3 is not working as claimed for the DC2 chipsets.. So I havnt read any solutions other than the soldering the J wire... as some have suggested.. but again that defeats the idea of many of us who are looking for a solderless solution to have to end up soldering. Hopefully the sites we bought these chips from would stepup and make it right.

I believe, the new V3 chip comes pre shorted as I can see the contact points are soldered together.

Remember that if you do attempt to solder the J points then to first unshort the CLK jumper.

See where the green box is pointing, that is the clk jumper, it woulbe shorted by having a blob of solder that connects the gap that you see in the pic. So unshorting it means to restore that gap again.
