You should be very careful if you attempt this downgrade, as it will first require you to install IOS249 which some modified version of Nintendo IOS. Once that is installed then you would run the Downgrader. All this is done through the Homebrew channel which needs to be the first you install. Check out the great Homebrew guide which you'll find in these forums.

to downgrade you need the homebrew channel, you get this by the twilight hack,

i have found that some games just dont work and i believe this is to do with the modchip, it just dont work on all games which is gay.

but also all my troubles came about after i upgraded to 3.3E so i believe this is where your problem lies....

I'm having the same issue with some games .. i.e. WiiSki, etc. In the middle of the game, it says that the disc can not be read and you need to check the Wii manual.

I guess my basic questions are ... (I have the D2Pro9 v2 installed with the wiiclip btw):

    1) How do I tell which DVD I have? The Wii is relatively new (2 months old), but how to tell which chipset?

    2) How do I tell which version of Firmware I have on the D2Pro9 chip (Atmel?) and how to upgrade if needed...

    3) How to tell which version of Wii Nintendo software is running and whether or not I need to upgrade as well? It looks like through the Wii System menu area I'm running 3.2U.

Special note, I do have the "Gecko Card: Gecko USB" programmer as well.... no instructions and not sure how to use it unfortunately. Thanks for any links to FAQs or details in advance.

    Thanks,
    CP
