    About to buy

Hey just about to buy my mod chip. i have opted for the d2pro 9 with clip. i am from the UK so buying it from wii-chip.co.uk along with the TriWing Screwdriver.

My console serial is LEH17083557 and the tracker said - Your Drive Chip is most likely GC2-D2C.

Your Drive Pins are most likely not cut. Will this affect the install process not sure what this means?

Will this be ok? upon installing the modchip what will I need to do to be up and running, will i need to update the mod chips firmware or will it be simple and plug and play, so to speak. Also should i update the wii's firmware before installing the mod chip, and will I be able to update in the future?

Thanks, sorry for all the questions, done some researching but am nervous and just need to clarify really.

Heres a direct link to the modchip

Yes, the D2Drpo9V2 will work in a D2c/D2C2 wii. You don't need to worry about Pins being cut/not cut.

You should, however, contact the seller to verify if they will send you the mod chip with the latest 2.1 Actel chip firmware, otherwise you may be in a situation where you have to purchase the D2Prog programmer. Also the latest SPI flash should be 1.5, this is something you can update yourself via DVD if its not 1.5.

If your Wii is not on FW 3.3 and you are interested in the HomeBrew Channel, then I suggest you install the homebrew channel before upgrading to 3.3 using the easy to install DVD iso that is available, other wise you will need to do the install via the TP hack way.

We can send you out the chip updated to the latest 2.1 firmware and 1.5 spi flash so all you have to do is plug and play.
