    Chip now or chip later?

Hey guys. I've modded my DS and x-box and loved it. I have a Wii and would like to chip it to enjoy all the awesomeness. I'm leaving for about 5 months in a couple weeks and was wondering if I should go through with it now or later. Pretty much much I just want to know if there's anything coming or worth waiting for? I eagerly await when we can have some external HD and backup games on it like you could with the x-box. If that ever happens.

I found some local guys on cragislist that charge $100-$150 with the chip for the D2C. But I'd imagine it's always cheaper to buy online then take it to them? I don't really trust myself to do it.

    Here's my info

Your Drive Chip is most likely GC2-D2C.

Your Drive Pins are most likely not cut.

The Wii was bought around March or so. Thanks in advance!

I just saw the D2 pro and that looks nice. Solderless and all.

new modchips will always come out new and easier ways, but in the end they do the same thing. It dosent really matter if you wait or not. Coz if you buy a compter now t will be outdated next month same goes for mod chips

Yeah, I understand that. I was just wondering if there was the next best thing that was set to come out sometime in the near future that I should wait for.

It seems like this is what I want

    Canadamods.ca - Official Distributor for WiiKey, D2CKey, D2Pro, D2PRO9, Wasabi, Wii-Clip etc..... - D2PRO9 rev 2.0 with WiiClip v4C Presoldered. - for D2C & D2C2 (Powered by CubeCart)

Is it not available in the U.S. yet? I may just order it there and see if I can't have it shipped here to the states.

Is there any concise on soldered or not?

Yeah, I'm trying to find someone in the buy/sell forum from the states. I'd like to save a bit if possible and negate the shipping wait.

    Thanks man

But do you need this if you have a solderless chip?

You need to open up the Wii so that you can clip in your chip.

Ah, yeah. I found that out after the post. I found a local installer that will do the d2pro9 soldered for $100. I'm trying to decide between solderless or not.
