Not on this case (D2pro9), you would have to short the jumper CLK right by Point J.
if that works for you great! If it doesnt then undo the jumper & solder
the Point J to the specified dot. (check the picture above). Then hopefully u'll be good
With the D2Ckey wii-clip all I had to do was solder the chip into the wii-clip & clip it
to the D2C chip set on the board. & I was good to go..

I know this is probably a dumb question, but how exactly do you short out the clk jumper? do you just put some solder on it to close the gap?

    Yes.. & it's not a dumb question
If that doesnt work then clean the solder off
& go for the 2nd option by running the wire from point J to the dot on the picture..

They are 100% solderless depending where you buy it
Places like us short the J point already. We havent seen a case where that point cant be used. In fact we were the ones that got them to design it this way as our customers had 0 experience soldering and could not do the 1 j point needed before. We used this point as a standard for most our installs, already so we got them to make v4c. We also are getting a new one designed but there isnt any advantage to those, just better for us on a testing level.

spyman i am looking forward to your guide on the proper way to put on and remove the wii clip (it seems like a very simple process but I am sure mistakes can arise) when will it be done?

I successfully installed my D2pro9 this weekend. The clk jumper did not work on my system for some reason. I soldered the 1 wire to the J points and that ended up working for me. The only problem is that some games don't seem to work properly... they boot up fine, but during the actual game it will come up with a "disc cannot be read" error. I've only noticed this on 2 games so far.

Do you guys know of any certain media that works better than others for the wii? is there a specific brand/type that works best? I've heard a little about some people using the "black" dvd's.
