I have a D2pro and soft mod. Hybrid is the best way to go. Pal or import all play.

New Super Mario Bros plays a dream with NeoGamma.

I think we should just relax,

what for to make an update now? It isn't realy clear how the release scene will handle the bca protection. Will the bca code be included somewhere else on the image (header, or by overburning). Or will it be provided extra.

The Weekey2 team (seems to be the same as D2Pro team, as far as i read in some other forums) just included the BCA code for NSMB on their chip firmware. but every game will have a different bca.

An Update for the chip should be very simple to make, if the chip is aware of getBCA calls from the game. Maybe it's not the case, but as far as i understand how chips are working, it is . I think that cheaps are aware of every cd-drive call. how else they should trick the copy protection? So it's just the question where to store the bca data i think.

If money is the only reason i would pay some bucks for an update. Softmods are dangerous and i would really avoid to remove the d2pro and intall a new chip, cause this is tricky, too.

    What about you guys?

As far as I am concerned, the D2Pro is dead. It has not been supported since Nov. of 2008.
PLEASE SEARCH, READ, AND THINK BEFORE DOING ANYTHING.

Is there any news about an update for the d2ckey?
The fact that you can still by them, you would think they would bring an update for the BCA fix, just like Wasabi!!!

Just to know one way or another would be good.

I'm in the same boat. That lame ribbon hanging out the back of the console bothers me every time I look at it bc I realize its USELESS! It was kinda the reason I bought the D2Pro to begin with bc it was "supposed" to be updated... In any case, someone said it earlier, the soft mods seem to be working great. I just did the soft mod bc I just recently saw a video of WiiFlow. No more discs!

I was wondering if there were any conflicts between having the mod chip and soft mod together? The thought of having to open the console and screwing something up along the way worries me...
