    D2Pro 9 Wire Install porblems

    First of all, hello everybody.

    I recenty bought a D2Pro 9 Wire from here

    Nintendo Wii Chip Mod Services | Wiikey | D2CPro | D2CKEY | UK Based |

I installed the chip but I cant get the WII to read any discs when the D2Pro is installed. If I didconnect the D2Pro the Wii will read games again fine, so i dont think I have damaged anything. I wouldnt class myslef as an electronics expert but I have modified consoles before with no problems.

when I put an original game into the Wii drive the disk sucks in a couple of cm at a time and very slowly. when the game is fully inserted the Wii just tells me to "Please insert disk". The red LED on the D2Pro stays perminatly on but the green? (other) LED never lights up.

I have tested that I have 0 ohms with all the connections from the Wii to the D2Pro and made sure I havnt sorted out one pin on the chip to the next leg.

Does anybody have any sugestions I could try? or have heard of this before.

    My Wii firmware is 3.2E

I just came here to try and solve the same problem

Got a D2pro9 today and attempted to install on a DMS drive and it won't read any discs

Took the chip out and it works fine, reinstalled d2pro9 and no drive activity, no spinning and the eject button doesn't work.

Quick Bump, any luck, I am having the same problem with serial LU3432 and D2pro9 v2. It doesn't want to accept the disk properly, then when it does accept the disk it will only play oem disks, then upon eject the eject motor never quits running. The install is good, no shorts and all wiring is in the correct places with wiring as short as possible.
    Any help is appreciated.

I am having the exact same problem! It doesnt want to accept the discs properly and when it does it only plays discs when it wants to and i get the message "please insert disc". Also the motor never quits running some times.

    thanks

I had a bad d2pro9 chip which was causing the drive to not feed any discs and once I installed a replacement chip sent by the vendor it has worked flawlessly since.

I took mine to the guy that installed it yesterday and he told me its not a modchip problem which sounded abit like rubish to me as it only started happening when i got the modchip, anyways i got him to pull it apart infront of me and found out why it was saying "please insert disc" as when a disc is accpeted into the wii the disc is not "clipping" itself into the cd drive, he told me the only way to fix it will be to buy a new dvd drive.

If the drive doesn't insert discs correctly even when the chip is out than I would think he is correct. If the wii worked fine before sounds like the installer might have screwed up the drive when he did his install.
