    feedback for mod-chip.bz

    Hi every one.

techsick is out of the d2ckey wii clip for weeks. Has any one purchased anything from mod-chip,bz ???
Is there any other website which is selling the wii clip with d2ckey/d2pro ???

I purchased a wii last week and really need to mod it. I think that this solderless modding is as hasselfree as modding will get. It does'nt alter the will in any one and one can keep the warranty as well. So ,I am all for these clips , problem is where to get them from. ?

Any feed back will be appreciated.

They are the only 2 sites currently selling the solderless chips right now...

I have installed 2 of these chips so far and they are great once you get them to work. The part that clips onto the chip has to be pushed down FIRM over the chip with the D2Cpro chip end covering the hole on the dvd drive. Make sure it is facing the right way and that it is firmly pressed on. Both that I have modded did not work on the first try.

I recommend putting the chip in and not completly closing up the wii. Just flip the dvd drive back over and don't even put the screws back in that hold the dvd drive down until you make sure the chip is working. Once you verify that it is playing both real and back-ups then you can put everything back together. Also the first time you go to put a back-up in it may say "You have an error, to eject the disc and power off the wii" This seems to be normal and has happened on both that I modded. When powered back on everything should be fine.

Let me know how you make out and if there is anything else I can help with.

    Question Mod-chip.bz

Attempted to purchase a D2PRO mounted in the solderless clip yesterday. They responded telling me that they are no longer stocking the "old" 15 wire version of the D2PRO and are waiting for the new 9 wire version to arrive. Anyone heard of when the 9 wire version of the D2PRO will be released?
Thanks, Steve P.S. My hats off to MOD-CHIP.BZ for their quick response and not selling me the old version when they knew a new version is coming.

they seen very responsible. I've just ordered the D2CKey solderless today. Hope it will come in about a week XD. You should go with the D2CKey since you're going to use the Wii-Clip. Updateable via jtag will be hard if your chip like that i think because part of the wii-clip covered the flatcable door. But I don't know since I don't own one. ANyone know? The D2CKey also updateable through jtag as well, and I think it is also updateable through DVD(not sure). So i just decided to go with the d2ckey. Good luck!

If anyone looking for a modchip for your wii. This is the place to go to. Tremendous customer service. They replies all my emails in like instant. They also won't try to rip you off by selling somethign that has yet confirmed working (Ex: d2pro solderless clip).

I ordered a D2CKey through them and paid the extra $20 for express shipping. The chip showed up in 4 days. Their customer service has been pretty good. My only complaint is that they didn't express ship the screwdriver so I am still waiting on it.

booze i emailed them and asked and they did said that they were out of stock on the screw driver until the 4/17 so you should expect your screwdriver soon. Try email them your order# and ask about it.
