[GUIDE] New Super Mario Bros (NTSC). with D2Pro
As per a request, here is a very explicit step by step for getting nsmb (ntsc) running with a d2pro on 4.1u. Unfortunately it still depends on NeoGamma and is not a direct disc channel patch...somewhat defeats the purpose of the hardmod... anywayyy:
Guide for d2pro users on 4.1u:
Required: blank DVD-R, SD Card, Card Reader, Internet Connected Wii
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Turn Off WiiConnect24 and unplug any GC controllers or memory cards*
*Burn your unpatched NSMB backup image to a DVD-R @ 4x or desired speed*
*Insert it into your wii. Allow it to update your system if it asks you to update. Don't worry, it will not update you to 4.2u* (Can someone confirm this? It only updated me to 4.1, but I'd like to be certain)
***REQUIRED FILES***
IOS53_v5149 WAD: IOS53_v5149.wad.zip

1) If you do not already have it installed, download the "Homebrew Channel" (HBC)
from the provided link.
2) Copy the contents of the Homebrew Channel package to the root of your SD Card (private folder & boot.elf)

You may now exit to the home screen and eject your sd card.
------
6) Back on your computer, delete the boot.elf file from the root and create 2 folders in the root of your sd: name one "apps", the other "wad"
7) Download NeoGamma and place the NeoGamma folder into the "apps" folder on your sd
8) Download dop-ios and place the dop-ios folder into your apps folder
9) Create a new folder in the root of your sd card called "NeoGamma" (NOTE: this folder IS separate from the NeoGamma folder you placed in the apps folder.
10) Download ios53_v5149.wad and place it into your "wad" folder
11) Download SMNE.dol, and place it into your NeoGamma (root) folder
