    problem with new backups

i have a d2pro9 that has been working awesome. My bios is 3.2u. All of my old games work great. All newer games get to the start page, then when you click start, a black screen appears.

I read in other posts that this is a common issue. I have tried to update my cios to a more recent version using wad manager using net installation. I keep getting a error -1. I have tried using the trucha? scrubber and installed a ios patch, and reinstalled a newer version of cios. It says install okay but my cios is still 3.2 u??

Fed up with this, i guess i cannot use the usb loader. I do have hbc installed on my system, but like i said , the newer games do not work...eg guitar hero smash hits, pikman, etc.

i read many other posts and tried a few more things but still cannot get it to work. Can anyone help me here?

It could be that you are missing a couple of IOSs but your chip has an update blocker which isn't letting it install, try installing IOS38, IOS53 and IOS55. The wads of these IOSs are available on the site.

    hey thanks,

i dl these 3 ios files and put them in my "wad" folder, but they do not show up with either the ios installer or wad manager...what am i doing wrong? The only one that shows up is 38, and of course there is a error in its installation.

Did you unzip the zipped folder and put the wad files itself in the wad folder, so in the wad folder you have three files. Also what error are you getting?
Have you tried different versions of wad manager?
Is your SD Card properly formatted to FAT32?

HI, yes, all the files have been unzipped. The sd card is properly formatted. I am using wad mgr 1.4. I have tried putting the wads by themselfs in the root of the sd card. I have also tried putting them in a folder labelled 'wad" and "WAD", and place those folders in both the root of the card and also under the subroot "apps".

I am not getting any error msgs from wad mgr as they cannot find the files. I am only getting the error msg if i use the custom ios installer...error -1 for ios 38.

Error -1 usually means that the file cannot be found or accessed. Try formatting your SD Card to FAT32 again then make a folder called WAD on the root and put the wad files in the WAD folder.
