D2pro9 with Wii Clip Install Question (Light blinks red - blue - red)

I am a newbie to the Wii modding but have modded my xbox years ago. I followed the instructions on CanadaMods but when I powered the unit on I received a red, blue, then red again. Each light lasted a very short time. I removed wii clip and reattached with same result. The unit plays regular wii games but the backups I have burnt get an error message when trying to load.

I am looking to get your thoughts on the following:

Is extra red light blinking an issue?
Should start over with mod chip installation?
Are their tutorials on burning the ISO back ups thought that I might have an option on my Nero that should be turned off? Also tried Imgburn with no success?
Also, I am going to switch to DVD-R only have DVD+R which could be adding to the issue.

Many thanks to all responses. I did try the search option but unsucessfully find anything on the lighting sequence or overlooked correct thread.

the chip is acting fine so leave it alone or you'll end up ruining it. the media you are using should be changed perhaps the burner, burning program, and iso may be the issue as well. This topics been covered before many times.
