That is why I recommend the WELLER soldering iron for all the new technicians......Pros like us must use the adjustable soldering iron stations cause remember people like us are into heavy electronics.

cause is not just a temperature controlled iron or station or some solder, some desolder braid and other thing I have in my shop in my country......ooooooo I have scopes, electronic magnifying camera (that connect to any tv or computer monitor) testers to make einstein smile and a clean white room for all of my testing and repairing of delicate electronic equipment.

well i talked to my friend at work and he said he could solder if for me so thats good.

my package left Canada on tuesday, hope it is not stuck in customs for too long.

Damn,

It's been more than a month since I sent my chip back. The Canadamods people aren't returning my emails at all. I've tried to contact them about once a week and I get no answers.

No email returns, no replacement chip and clip. I get that it could take a bit to get a replacement, but I think a month is more than enough time for them to get a replacement out or at the very least return an email.

Those who got a replacement, how long did it take? Did anyone reply to your emails?

check pm , ill take a look at status for you, a month is a bit questionable. depending where youre sending it back from takes about 2 weeks and then 1 week for us to test etc and replace or update you.
