D2CKey not reading @3.4

I guy brought me his wii and said it stopped reading discs, it has a d2ckey chip and is at 3.4u fw , it won't read originals either. When it try's to boot a disc it beeps twice and fails to boot.....anyone know what i can try with this wii ?
