Hello all, been reading the forums for a while, and after several hours of Labor Day boredom, I've decided to tinker w/ my Wii.

I already have a D2PRO chip that installed myself. I've had it in my console for months, and I've had absolutely NO TROUBLE playing my backup content, regardless of the region. Even new titles like Wii Sports Resort and The Conduit have worked without a glitch.

I'm interested in running homebrew/custom wad content on my Wii, and I'm wondering if Bannerbomb/HBC/Etc. are going to have any adverse effects on the way my console already flawlessly plays backups?

It shouldn't do. I run both hard and softmod and have no ill effects. I use USB to load games now but they still work in disc channel like before as my daughter loaded a disc the other day.
