Update required for Madden 10

Been out of the wii picture for a while. I am currently at 3.3U.

It's asking for an update when I put in Madden. Is this ok to do?

No NEVER update from nintendo i think u can get starfall on 3.3U but idk

That's not true, not all updates include a system menu update. When I bought GH Metallica I did the disc update and I'm still at 3.2U, I couldn't find anywhere that there was a system menu update, so I did it. Just wanted to make sure all my instruments and mic got updated.

You may want to check around before doing the update though, make sure it doesn't have a system menu update on it. I wouldn't unless I knew for sure.

Well true but im assuming here because Madden is a new game and nintendo is always trying to get u to update, in his case theirs no extra remotes for it so it wouldnt update anything like that its most likely for the system menu because just like mario kart wii they wanted u to update and it had no extra controllers besides that piece of plastic <_<

I was thinking the update may be for the motion plus. But after going to nintendo and EA websites I see nothing about motion plus.

I have a soft mod Wii and never even see a disc update anymore. I never play from disc channel, any original disc that comes in to my house gets installed to HDD. Prevents unwanted updates.

yeah i downloaded from Ntorrents and played on USB loader GX it plays fine gr8 game

and nah i dont think it can include wii motion plus

But for me the questions stays, can i put the game without using a other progam and just play it.

If the disc channel is prompting for update you will not be able to play it unless you by pass the update, I think starfall installs to 3.2, not 3.3, or install to USB device, or burn a copy and remove the update. I don't have preloader but that may be able to by pass the update, it's worth a check.

There are updated non nintendo 4.1u firmware out there - Why not update with that one - If you have downgraded from 4.0 you might have to fix something before you go back up so you don't brick - I can find you the thread on how to do these - pretty straight forward

Your backup loader should bypass these updates too I believe - or - I have see it before

I've think there is no need to be on lower firmare anymore? Everything is working with 4.1u and I get a few new features

also with starfall or Preloader you can shut off these updates from popping up - or - if it's a backup you can remove from image

My madden works and had to do no update - again - I have them set to not come on

Should be a good game - I like that the caracters are based of the method for original 'Ice Hockey' 5 seperate shaped guys

If you have a mod chip on your Wii and just loading backups via the disk channel and do not have HBC on your Wii.
You can update the system menu or IOS's at anytime. Period....
And you can only update with the same region.

Now if you have HBC installed you need to update using Waninkoko's updater.
